JNANODAYA CENTRAL SCHOOL,Chengal, Kalady inaugurated on 2005,is managed by
congregation of the Mother of Carmel (C M C). It is a Christian Minority School with all the
privileges that acquire from such status. CMC society founded by St. Chavara Kuriakose is world Wide Educational Organization with more than thousand education institutions (Colleges, Schools, Professional Schools, and Professional Colleges) throughout the world.
Our Founder – St. Chavara Kuriakose Elias: St. Chavara Kuriakose Elias who was a social
revolutionist as well as educational reformist, is the founder of CMC and CMI missionary
institutes, in our society. He was born in a small village in Kerala. From childhood onwards hehad dedicated to God and his intentions. He was a man with vision and foresight about
education especially of women and children. His ideas about education was far in advance of his time. He was the first who started a printing press in Kerala State as a step towards progress.
Serve the humanity for the love of God, diversting all the worldly pleasures was St. Chavara Kuriakose Elias motto. Through this motto the members of the congregation try to win the soulsfor God through prayer and service.
Management: CMC Mary Matha Province with its special dedication to education sets forth thecharism through education. The total responsibility of running this school rests upon the CMCcommunity, Chengal.
System of Education: The system of education followed in the school is the one taught and practiced by St. Chavara Kuriakose Elias. It is based on the fear of God, the formation of personal convictions, prevention of faults and fraternal correction.
AIMS: Jnanodaya aims at imparting quality education to all. We believe in cultivating habits of piety, self reliance and discipline in the students. Hence particular attention is given to character formation by means of religious and moral instructions. Students’ participation in School activities is encouraged and facilitated by grouping them into houses and clubs. These are aimed at fostering the genuine interest of the students for team work and their complete formation in the curricular and co – curricular spheres.
